自荷里活開發電影事業的百年來，便不斷地出了很多有名氣的導演，有些是已故的大師級、有些是殿堂級大導演、或有些雖未去到該崇高位置，但因拍出來的水準及票房成績均不俗，故不但能令影迷們津津樂道、印象難忘，至少每逢他/她的作品出現，都會有一定的捧場客，從而奠定其荷里活的地位。
以下列出的十位導演(排名不分先後)，都為筆者所喜愛和欣賞，並選出他(她)們的幾部我個人喜歡的作品作為推介：
